The Opportunity
My client is seeking a Plant HR Business Partner to support operations at their manufacturing site. This is a key strategic role that will act as the primary HR contact on-site and work closely with the wider ANZ HR team to implement global people strategies locally.
You’ll play a pivotal role in employee engagement, talent development, industrial relations, and HR systems – contributing to a workplace where people thrive and business results are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
As the Plant HRBP, you will:
- Lead the implementation of group HR strategies and local HR policies
- Ensure compliance with employment law and HR administrative processes
- Partner with internal teams to manage union relationships and workforce communications
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and employment contract preparation
- Drive learning, development and training initiatives across the site
- Champion employee engagement and workplace culture programs
- Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage attendance, leave and overtime tracking systems
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems (e.g. SAP)
- Support internal and external audits with timely HR data and documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar
- Experience in an HR business partnering role, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong working knowledge of Australian labour law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP or similar HRIS is a plus
