About Bunurong Land Council

BLCAC is the Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) representing the Bunurong people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation. We advocate for cultural heritage, land management, and community empowerment. Our work spans across Greater Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, and the Bass Coast, ensuring the voices and traditions of our ancestors continue to be recognised and respected.

About the Role

Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC) is seeking an experienced and culturally grounded Education Liaison to create and deliver a Bunurong Cultural Values Learning Curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to shape educational experiences that reflect and uphold Bunurong culture, Country, and knowledge systems through innovative STEAMS-based learning packages.

You will lead the development and delivery of educational content, engage with schools and community organisations, and represent BLCAC in sector forums. With strong project management skills and cultural integrity, you'll build meaningful partnerships that support the long-term vision of Bunurong-led education.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Bunurong Learning Packages grounded in culture, environment, and STEAMS learning models.

Facilitate education workshops, school programs, and sector forums.

Build strong networks within the Victorian education sector and community.

Project manage BLCAC’s Education Portfolio, including program planning, delivery, and evaluation.

Represent Bunurong perspectives at events and in stakeholder discussions.

Support Strong Country days and other community-focused education initiatives.

What You Bring

Qualifications and Experience

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage strongly encouraged (Identified Position).

Certificate or Degree in Teaching, Education, or relevant field (desirable).

Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal communities and/or organisations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.

Current Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence

Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check

National Police Check or willingness to obtain a Police Check

Personal Qualities and Attributes

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Confident facilitator and public speaker.

Strong cultural awareness, sensitivity, and ability to engage respectfully.

Creative, collaborative, and committed to empowering community-led learning.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
