We currently seek an experienced, energetic and well organised Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor for our Bibra Lake office.

This role is integral to the smooth running of VIKING’s operations through logistics both locally and for our other service centres and partners around the region. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting a Warehouse Assistant.

What you will be doing:

Control and management of inventory within VIKING Australia, maintaining adequate stock levels, monitoring stock movement and turnover rates across our four service stations located in WA, NSW and QLD.

Liaising with the operations managers at all four service stations to monitor stock and prevent items from becoming slow-moving or non-moving.

Provide troubleshooting assistance in SAP to the other departments and service stations.

Daily communication with internal and external stakeholders involving logistical support.

Coordinating day-to-day tasks for the Warehouse Assistant and working closely together to achieve objectives.

Maintain a well-ordered and clean warehouse, adhering to all safety procedures and processes.

Conduct regular stock takes to identify any discrepancies, analyse the source of the inconsistencies and implement corrective actions.

Coordinating the import and delivery of containers from our manufacturing facilities on sea and air freight.

Coordinating stock movement using local, regional, interstate and international freight forwarders.

Driving the implementation and continuation of new Company technological initiatives to streamline work flows and optimise productivity.

Continuous review of freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure cost effective contractors are being utilised.

Purchasing and procurement of required parts and products from VIKING manufacturing facilities and external suppliers.

Purchasing of tooling, consumables and small assets, and assisting the service stations with their job-specific procurement needs.

Assist with picking and packing orders, offloading and loading deliveries.

Assist in other areas of the business where needed.

What you will need:

Demonstrable experience with SAP and MS Office.

Previous experience in an inventory control type role.

Experience managing a warehouse and a team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and highly organised.

Able to adapt and be flexible to changing situations and priorities.

Willingness to learn and develop.

Work well within a team.

Possess a current and valid forklift licence.

Have a current and valid driver’s licence.

Qualification in storing/handling and transport of hazardous/dangerous goods would be highly desirable.
