About the Role:

This is an opportunity to join a company focusing on green energy and achieving their carbon neutrality targets. This will suit an intermediate level electrical designer who is eager to continue their development with an established and experienced team of engineers and designers.

Reporting to the Lead Electrical Designer, you will provide design and drafting support to the Decarbonisation Transmission and Generation projects. Your role will involve producing design deliverables for the High Voltage, Low Voltage and Protection Systems for Substation packages as well as primary design and 3D modelling for Solar and Battery Energy Storage System packages.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D designs including single line diagrams, schematics, and termination drawings

Develop 2D layout drawings and general arrangements

Create 3D models for substations, switchrooms, solar farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)

Design 3D cable routing, including cable layouts, ladder systems, conduits, and underground services

Experience:

Proficient in MicroStation and OpenBuildings Designer (2D & 3D)

Experience in HV substation and renewable energy design highly regarded

Strong background in primary 3D modelling of electrical infrastructure, including cable ladders, conduits, and equipment

Previous experience in a similar design/drafting role

Full working rights in Australia is a requirement for the position
