About the role

Rural Health Tasmania Inc. is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker - Mental Health - Accredited, to join our team in Ulverstone, Tasmania on a part-time basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health services to our local community, contributing to our mission of improving the overall well-being of the people we serve.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients with complex mental health needs

Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy, utilising a range of therapeutic modalities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care

Advocate for client rights and coordinate access to relevant community resources and support services

Maintain detailed clinical records and contribute to the ongoing development of our mental health programs

Participate in professional development activities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

ESSENTIAL: Degree in Social Work with current Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) accreditation

Significant experience (minimum 3 years) working as a Mental Health Social Worker in a clinical or community-based setting

Demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and developing individualised treatment plans

Proficiency in utilising evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to continuous professional development and a strong ethical foundation
