Hours: Flexible - Weekdays 10am–8pm, Weekends 12pm–6pm

We’re now expanding our services to include a new triage offering, helping people navigate to the right level of mental health support based on their needs.

About the Role

This is a 100% WFH contractor role ideal for an AHPRA-registered enrolled nurse. You’ll support clients through short triage sessions conducted via video, phone or messaging. Using the Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST), you’ll assess their mental health needs and provide a clear recommendation for the most appropriate level of care.

This service is aimed at lower-risk presentations (e.g. the ‘worried-well’) but may involve contact with distressed clients. During your shift, you may be required to manage a queue of clients, with periods of both downtime and consecutive sessions. You’ll need to be calm, supportive and confident using digital tools and following clinical protocols.

Hours are flexible and negotiable, typically ranging from 20 to 40 per week.

What You’ll Do

Conduct brief triage sessions via video, phone or secure messaging

Use the IAR-DST to assess clients' needs and assign a recommended level of care

Provide a clear recommendation pathway for the next steps the client should take

Follow escalation pathways for higher-risk presentations

Learn about common services and referral options within the system

Handle potentially distressed clients with professionalism and empathy

Record accurate session notes and clinical recommendations in our platform

What We’re Looking For

AHPRA registration enrolled nurse

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience supporting clients with mental health concerns

Comfortable using digital tools and working in a remote setting

Ability to work independently while being part of a remote team

Proactive and can-do attitude

Reliable internet connection and private, quiet workspace

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in stepped care, triage, or primary mental health settings

Familiarity with the IAR-DST or similar tools

An interest in digital health or telehealth mental health services
