We are seeking a skilled and motivated Leading Hand to join our growing team for upcoming and ongoing projects across the Newcastle region. This is your chance to be part of a respected Civil contractor that values teamwork, safety, and quality delivery.

About the Role:
As a Leading Hand, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Site Supervisor with day-to-day site coordination. You will lead a small crew, ensure works are progressing on time, and maintain high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and supervising on-site civil crews

Assisting in planning and delegating daily tasks

Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and site regulations

Reporting progress to Site Supervisor or Project Manager

Coordinating plant and equipment on-site

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Leading Hand or senior Civil Labourer

Strong knowledge of civil construction practices (e.g., earthworks, drainage, roads)

White Card (Construction Induction)

Current driver’s Licence and reliable transport

Ability to read and interpret plans and work to deadlines

Strong communication and leadership skills
