Senior Investment Manager | Infrastructure & Investment | Sydney

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Senior Investment Manager to join a highly regarded infrastructure investment group. This is a broad, high-impact role that will see you work closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making, oversee asset performance, and contribute to portfolio growth initiatives.

Critical to this role is the ability to work with asset owners such as pension or super funds as well as the assets themselves. Culture and fit is imperative, you will be joining a small team that rates collaboration and work-life-balance.

The Opportunity:
You will play a key role in supporting the management of portfolio assets while maintaining sophisticated financial regulatory models and providing insights to drive investment decisions. The position also has a strong focus on forward-looking scenario analysis, valuations, regulatory matters, and ESG reporting.

This role is ideally suited to candidates from highly regulated industries such as utilities, telco, infrastructure and property with a strong background in investment banking, infrastructure funds, private equity, or funds management, looking to apply their expertise to complex, long-term infrastructure investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain detailed corporate and investment portfolio valuation models
• Perform strategic financial analysis, including sensitivity assessments and scenario planning
• Lead or support valuation workstreams in collaboration with external advisors
• Provide insights on performance through deep-dive financial reviews and "under the hood" analysis
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver business plans, reporting, and strategic initiatives
• Conduct market research to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends
• Monitor treasury, cash flow forecasting, and performance reporting across the investment portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree-qualified in finance, commerce, economics, mathematics, or a related field, as well as a CPA/CA/CFA
• 10+ years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance infrastructure investment, private equity, or funds management
• Industries such as Utilities, Telco, Infrastructure or Property would be highly regarded
• Expert financial modelling skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and scenarios, in particular large complex regulatory models
• Strong communication skills – able to engage with senior stakeholders and produce concise reports
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for value creation and investment analysis
