About the role

Screen NSW is the state’s screen funding body and supports the industry through a range of initiatives and programs while also promoting NSW as a premier filmmaking destination.

The Sector Investment Manager - Screen, plays a key role in supporting the NSW screen industry by managing funding assessments for screen programs, including online content, and related administrative processes. Your work will help ensure projects are assessed fairly and transparently, align with government priorities, and contribute to a vibrant and sustainable sector. You'll work closely with producers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to provide clear advice, evaluate funding applications - particularly in development, production, and online content - and guide recommendations to the relevant advisory committee.

This is a hands-on role that requires sound judgement, strong sector knowledge, and a commitment to accountability. You’ll manage contracts and funding processes from start to finish, contribute to the development of broader funding programs and career pathways, and help shape and refine investment frameworks. The role also involves responding to information requests and managing relationships across the industry to support informed, consistent and fair funding outcomes.

For any questions related to the role, please contact Lauren Edwards, Senior Manager Content Investment, Screen NSW via [email protected].

About You

You possess a strong understanding of the screen industry, particularly in online content and how it reaches audiences. You have experience assessing funding applications, preparing clear and well-justified recommendations, and managing contracts from start to finish. You’re confident working with producers, government agencies, and other stakeholders, and you understand how strategic funding decisions can support a thriving and diverse screen sector in NSW.

You have sound judgement and the ability to balance competing priorities while ensuring transparency, compliance, and alignment with government objectives. You take a structured and organised approach to your work, managing funding processes and information efficiently. You seek opportunities to refine programs and processes, to deliver meaningful benefits to the screen sector.
