The Opportunity

Step into a leadership position as our Senior Manager for Sydney and Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for both Australian domestic tax and international tax matters, driving strategy, overseeing client delivery, and nurturing a high-performing and inclusive local team. You'll receive ongoing support, guidance, and mentoring from our senior leaders to help you excel both personally and professionally.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and implement business strategies for the Sydney/Australian practice, in line with global and local objectives.

Advise clients on a wide range of Australian domestic tax issues, including income tax, GST, FBT, and state taxes, ensuring compliance and optimal tax outcomes.

Provide expert advice on international tax matters, such as cross-border structuring, transfer pricing, and international tax compliance for multinational clients.

Grow and manage the client portfolio through business development, networking, and delivering outstanding service.

Mentor, inspire, and lead a high-performing team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian regulations and professional standards.

Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to thought leadership locally and internationally.

Champion innovation and digital transformation within the Australian practice.

Receive ongoing support, guidance, and mentoring from the firm’s Senior Leadership to foster your professional growth and success in the role.

Your Profile

Chartered Accountant with current CA ANZ membership or equivalent qualification.

7+ years’ post-qualification experience, with significant expertise in both Australian domestic tax and international tax advisory.

Proven leadership experience at manager or senior manager level, ideally within a leading accounting or advisory firm.

Strong understanding of Australian tax law, international tax regulations, and cross-border structuring.

Exceptional client management, communication, and business development skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.

Commitment to professional integrity and regulatory compliance.

Experience with digital initiatives and technology-driven accounting solutions is advantageous.
