
Wellbeing Support Officer

As a Wellbeing Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering wellbeing services to war widows and families of veterans. After receiving on-the-job training, you will assist the Program Manager by:
Coordinating the administration of social and wellbeing activities.
Facilitating the delivery of peer support services.
Supporting volunteers in their roles.
Engaging in community outreach activities to promote our organisation.
Performing administrative tasks to support program and service delivery.
Collecting and collating data for program metric reporting.
Taking on any other reasonable duties as directed.
This role is perfect for a professional and emotionally mature individual seeking a varied position in administration and program support. Based in Chatswood, NSW, the position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a mix of home and office work. As our services span across NSW and the ACT, occasional travel may be required. You may also need to work outside of business hours or on weekends from time to time.
About You: We are looking for an enthusiastic, values-driven, and motivated individual to join our dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Critical thinking and compassion are essential.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse audiences.
Experience in administrative/support functions or a similar role.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a small, dynamic team.
Experience working with vulnerable communities, including an ageing population.
Familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
An adaptable, resilient, positive, and proactive attitude.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Reliability, honesty, and the ability to deliver quality work within agreed timeframes.
Desirable:
Knowledge of/experience in the community services sector.
Knowledge of/experience with veteran/defence communities.
Experience navigating DVA and My Aged Care.
Experience in a similar role.
Experience in the not-for-profit/charity sector.
