About the role:
The HSU is excited to recruit a Data Support Officer. The Data Support Officer will support the HSU in building out the quality and breadth of data in its Customer Relationship Management System. The position will focus on remediation activities, procedure implementation and supporting operational compliance.
It will do so by entering, monitoring, validating, and reconciling data as well as by performing a variety of related activities to correct information and monitor datasets to maintain a high level of accuracy in the Union’s membership register.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in our Sydney CBD Head Office. Please note that this position is an in-office role.
Responsibilities:
Respond to support emails, calls, and all other employee data enquires
Ensure all requests are correctly logged, categorised and activities recorded
Supervise and support the data support officers in lower levels
Monitor tasks and priorities in accordance with ongoing project demands
Provide basic support for the CRM enquires
Complete ad hoc data entry efficiently and accurately
Work with business and technical members of the team, as instructed, to create data standards and principles to improve organisational data management practices
Generate/Modify reports as required
Support the IT Services team in identifying what data is more important to the business, and work with the CRM Support Officer to assess, manage, monitor, and report on this data
Support operating divisions with using a variety of campaigning tools and systems
Understand various business processes and systems, and data needed to support them
Conduct quality assurance activities including ongoing monitoring of data accuracy and consistency
Ensure data integrity by monitoring changes and engaging with staff to help drive corrective action (data hygiene)
Contribute to the organising objectives of the union through outreach to members and potential members
Contribute to broader initiatives to improve and enhance organisational data
Assist with data related projects and provide support for the CRM enhancements
Assist with other project tasks as needed, including testing and user training
Essential Skills and Experience:
Excellent communication and customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to apply initiative and to problem solve in a customer service/support environment
Proven track record in data quality assurance and customer service-related roles
High attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to maintain focus in repetitive work
Basic computer skills including good knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft suite of products
Experience working with iMIS or similar customer relationship management system
Basic analytical skills and the ability to follow procedures
Basic time management and prioritisation skills
Demonstrated ability to grasp new information, answer queries quickly & seek relevant information from a variety of sources
A self-starter, prepared to take initiative and learn new skills and system functionality
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Remuneration:
$78,262 + 11.5% (12% for females) Employee Superannuation Contributions
