Your Opportunity
We have an exciting temporary full-time Senior Health & Safety Business Partner position available to join our Health & Safety team at TAFE Queensland’s Townsville Campus.
As the Senior Health and Safety Business Partner you will lead by example in living our value of Safety First and be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety programs and initiates across TAFE Qld North region. You will also provide advice and education on WHS regulations, risk management, and best practices to ensure a safe and compliant work and training environment and support the training of staff and management to promote awareness and foster a learning culture.
This position reports to the Director - Safety, Infrastructure & Operations
Salary
The salary range for this position at the AO6 classification is $117,537.45 - $125.531.21 (gross) per annum.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding, support and promotion of the organisations strategies and values, visibly leading our Safety First value.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational issues, risk management, relevant Acts, Standards and Codes of Practice relating to workplace health and safety and their application at the organisational level
- Proven record of working collaboratively and providing expert advice to achieve workplace health and safety at worksites, undertaking investigations and implementing lessons learnt to achieve business outcomes and provide tangible safety results.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to consult and liaise effectively with internal and external clients and work in a team environment to foster a workplace culture consistent with organisational values.
- Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
