Heavy Diesel Fitters / Mechanics - Full-Time | Workshop & Field Roles | Day & Afternoon Shifts Available

Location: Thomastown & Epping, VIC

The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters / Mechanics to join a reputable and growing team working across workshop and field service roles. Long-term opportunity offering attractive pay rates, a supportive work environment, and varied mechanical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on a wide range of mobile and fixed plant equipment
  
• Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing, including oil changes
  
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults across various equipment
  
• Work with generators, hybrid power units, and heavy quarry machinery
  
• Operate from the workshop and travel to site as required
  
• Maintain a strong safety focus at all times
  

Equipment You'll Be Working On

• Crushers & Screens: Metso, Kleemann, Chieftain
  
• Heavy Machinery: CAT 35t Excavators, CAT 972-988 Loaders, CAT 745-773 Dump Trucks
  
• Power Systems: Generators, hybrid battery power units
  
• Mobile Plant Equipment and a variety of other quarry-related machinery
  

About You

• Trade Qualified Mechanic (HD or LV depending on the role )
  
• White Card & Current Driver's Licence
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  
• Previous experience in quarry, mobile plant, or power equipment servicing
  
• Welding experience highly regarded
  
• Must be flexible with shift times and overtime as required
  

Shift Options

• Day Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm
  
• Overtime Available: Regular opportunities for extended hours (10-12 hour days
