We are currently seeking a passionate and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and oversee the financial operations of our two residential aged care facilities—Kanangra (48 beds) and Grenoch (46 beds)—both located in the close-knit rural community of Deloraine, Tasmania.
About the Role
As CFO, you will hold full responsibility for the strategic and operational financial management of Aged Care Deloraine. This role will:
Provide financial leadership and strategic planning
Oversee compliance, reporting, risk management, and financial sustainability
Lead finance, administration, IT, and infrastructure planning
Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to enhance performance and drive innovation
Ensure alignment with organisational goals in a rapidly evolving aged care landscape

About You
We are looking for a values-driven and hands-on financial leader with a commitment to aged care excellence.
You will ideally bring:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CPA or CA qualification
Strong business acumen and demonstrated strategic and operational financial management experience
Proven ability to support strategic initiatives and improve business outcomes
Competence in analysing financial data, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Proficiency with financial software, systems, and modern budgeting tools
Exceptional leadership and team management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-financial audiences
A collaborative and empathetic approach to leadership
Experience in aged care and/or the not-for-profit sector (highly desirable)

Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in the preparation, management, and implementation of annual budgets.
Proven ability to maintain general ledger systems and prepare timely profit and loss statements and variance analysis reports, including evidence of timely creditor payments.
Experience in conducting cost analysis to support decision-making for proposed projects or capital purchases.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with care recipient agreements in accordance with aged care legislation and regulatory requirements.
Sound knowledge of quality improvement systems and experience contributing to accreditation and continuous improvement processes.
Highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise, and complete tasks within set timeframes.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve high-quality outcomes and support strong relationships with residents and families.
Demonstrated ability to communicate respectfully and effectively, with clear and concise documentation skills.
Proficient computer literacy, including experience using electronic information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
