About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position leads the Corporate and Community Services team.
This role will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance with legislative obligations, and effective internal systems.

Duties

• Oversee financial management, budgeting, reporting, and audit/risk compliance
• Lead governance, records management, customer service, HR, and IT functions
• Ensure compliance with all legislative frameworks including the Local Government Act
• Represent the CEO when required and provide strategic support to Council
• Drive community engagement and economic development initiatives

Skills & experience

• Relevant qualifications or experience
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and governance legislation
• Minimum 10–15 years in senior leadership roles
• Proven track record in financial management and reporting
• Experience in HR, IT systems, audit, risk, and governance functions
• Background in community or economic development desirable
