Role Description
We’re hiring a Senior Front End Developer to join a major NSW Government transformation initiative, focused on building high-performing, accessible, and secure web applications that serve the public.
This role suits a senior engineer who thrives in complex technical environments and brings a user-first mindset with strong delivery discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Developing responsive, scalable single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular
• Implementing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) across government platforms
• Creating visualisation and UI components for data-heavy apps
• Securing web apps and integrating APIs (RESTful services)
• Supporting the delivery of progressive web apps (PWAs)
• Collaborating with full-stack teams and stakeholders to align frontend features with backend architecture

Skills and experience:

• Strong experience in Angular (v2+) and AngularJS
• Solid CSS skills with frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Foundation
• Experience in building SPAs and PWAs
• Understanding of web accessibility – WCAG standards
• Familiarity with API integration and frontend security
• Experience working in Agile or government settings a plus

Desirable :

• Data visualisation experience (D3.js, Chart.js, etc.)
• Exposure to NSW public sector policies or audit practices
