Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking Salesforce Automation Engineer to join their team in Richmond or Geelong.

• 12-month initial contract plus 12-month extension
• Hybrid with 3 days per week onsite
• Federal government role - Australian citizenship required

The role:
The Scheme Platforms Environment & Release Directorate is responsible for the Environments Management services that underpin the clients Salesforce environments. The role will be involved in developing applications and scripts to enable us to provision Salesforce Environments in a repeatable and automated manner.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Design and implement automation utilising custom application such as Salesforce CLI plugin or NodeJS based applications which will replace the current manual steps involved in while provisioning Salesforce Sandboxes.
• Classify the most optimal automation, UI/API or integrating existing tooling for designing automation.
• Identify issues and/or errors and support the resolution of any technical problems that arise during iterations.
• Define and iterate the roadmap required to achieve NDIA's aspiration of provisioning environments rapidly.
• Support designing, building, testing, and integrating these applications/scripts into CI/CD stack.

To apply you will need the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria

• Demonstrable experience in building Salesforce CLI plugins that automate environment provisioning. Must have worked on enterprise Salesforce automation
• Experience with Salesforce Tooling API and consuming the same in NodeJS (Javascript/Typescript).
• Experience with Salesforce plugins such as sfdx-hardis and browserforce.
• At least 2 to 3 years' experience a role involving development of full stack applications on NodeJs using frameworks such as React/Vue/Next.js.
• Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience in building Salesforce CLI plugins that automate environment provisioning. Must have worked on enterprise Salesforce automation

• Passion for driving quality through automation.
• Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiasm about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
