Cloud & Infrastructure Systems Administrator | NV 1 Clearance | Federal Government

• Salary ranging from $80k - $130k package (based on experience)

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Support and maintain critical infrastructure across Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing systems. This role is responsible for proactive system management, incident response, and ongoing service improvement in a managed services context.

Key Accountabilities:

• Administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) environments
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure with focus on availability, performance, and cost optimisation
• Support VMware Cloud Foundation, including deployment and management of virtual machines and storage
• Monitor system performance, logs, and health using appropriate tools
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash or Python
• Utilise configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and security settings across systems
• Respond to incidents and service requests, including after-hours support and deployments
• Document technical processes, incidents, and resolutions
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to service improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship with active NV1 clearance or higher
• Proven experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud platforms and VMware environments
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python) and experience with config management (Ansible, Puppet)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across infrastructure and cloud services
• Experience working in managed services environments, including on-call and shift work
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
