About the Role

As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards across our accommodation and function rooms. You’ll assist in managing daily operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Your leadership will contribute to a supportive, values-driven culture focused on guest satisfaction and team success.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are consistently maintained throughout all areas of the resort.

Implementing effective cleaning protocols and quality control measures.

Assign tasks to Room Attendants strategically to maintain productivity and minimize operational costs while meeting cleanliness standards.

Assist in managing, motivating, and supporting the housekeeping team including cleaners, trainers, inspectors, laundry, and night porters

Support staff training, development, and performance reviews

Respond promptly to guest needs and service requests

Uphold WHS, safety, and compliance standards

Maintain administrative functions including stock ordering, payroll checks, and room inspections

Role-model positive behaviour aligned with Abbey Beach Resort’s values and service standards

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar housekeeping or supervisory role

Strong leadership, delegation, and people management skills

Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication abilities

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment

Proficiency in Computerised Systems, and administrative processes

Current Australian driver’s licence

First Aid certification (desirable)
