About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join the team at Starlight Gems ELC. In this full-time role, you will oversee the smooth daily operations and strategic direction of this thriving early learning centre located in Southern River, WA.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor in leading and managing the centre's staff, including providing guidance, support and performance management

Contribute to the development and implementation of centre policies, procedures and quality improvement initiatives

Support the enrolment process and manage centre waitlists and occupancy rates

Oversee the daily operations of the centre, including staffing, programming, and resource management

Foster positive relationships with families, the local community and regulatory authorities

Ensure the centre's compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards

Support the Centre Manager/Nominated Supervisor in financial management, including budgeting and invoicing

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior educator or assistant management role in the childcare sector

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively support and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with families

Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework and other relevant legislation and regulations

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively

Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education
