We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday). Based on Brisbane’s Northside (Morayfield, surrounding suburbs and Nirimba), this role combines direct participant support with leadership and administrative responsibilities.
Your Role at a Glance
As an Area Coordinator, you will:
Provide hands-on support to participants (60% of the role), including:
Personal care and community access
Medication administration and appointment support
Capacity-building activities and social inclusion
Accurate documentation and compliance reporting
Lead and support a team of 20+ Support Workers:
Supervision, mentoring, and training
Managing rosters across 2000+fortnightly support hours
Host regular team meetings for knowledge sharing and participant update purposes
Monitoring timesheets, including approvals, incident reports, and care documentation
Build and maintain strong relationships:
Liaise with families, support coordinators, health professionals and internal stakeholders
Respond to feedback, concerns, and support issues promptly and professionally
Ensure all participant care plans and reports are current, accurate and compliant
What You’ll Bring
Cert/Diploma in Community Services, Disability, or Social Work (or equivalent – Nurses, Allied Health)
3+ years’ experience working directly with individuals with complex needs and/or mental health conditions
Proven leadership experience in disability or community care settings
Strong rostering and scheduling skills
High-level communication, coordination, and conflict resolution abilities
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Sound understanding of NDIS standards and person-centred care principles
Essential Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid, CPR, Medication Training certification
Full Australian working rights (this role is not suitable for student visa holders)
Full driver’s license and own insured vehicle
Availability Monday to Friday during daytime hours
Confidence with mobile and desktop technology
