EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Land and Property team is currently seeking to appoint two Property Officers – one role is on an ongoing capacity and the other is temporary up to 2 years.

In our team, property officers play a key role in the effective management of government owned assets, helping to drive EnergyCo’s energy and sustainability initiatives. Day-to-day will involve coordinating property transactions, engaging and managing consultants and contractors, including preparing briefs and tenders, reviewing and assessing tenders, maintaining accurate asset data and applying your knowledge of relevant legislation and operational requirements to support decision-making and ensure compliance. These roles will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of five, working together on a diverse range of projects that contribute to NSW’s transition to renewable energy. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your property expertise in a meaningful way by supporting large-scale, future-focused energy projects that have real impact.

About You
To be successful in these roles, you are a self-motivated and detail focused professional. You thrive in a process-driven, fast environment and you remain calm under pressure. With a strong understanding of land and property legislation, you’re confident reviewing survey plans, interpreting land titles, and using mapping tools (GIS) to inform property decisions.

Ideally, you bring experience working with government property, particularly in relation to acquisitions under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 as well as leasing, selling and managing property subject to relevant legislation and policies. You’re comfortable reviewing briefing notes from consultant teams, cross-checking documentation, confirming terminology and ensuring everything is accurate before progressing through the escalation line. Whether working collaboratively within a team or independently, you bring a high level of accountability and a sharp eye for detail. You’re someone who can be relied on to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant equivalent experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required.
