CBD location. WFH 1 day per week. Financial Accountant role: $50 - $60 per hour + super.

The Company

Our client is a medium-sized property and construction business with a reputation for excellence. As a business, they are enjoying a successful period and are well set for an exciting growth period with some high-profile projects underway.

They are searching for a Financial Accountant to join their finance function of six people. This organisation has a professional and upbeat open-plan working culture and encourages a work-life balance. This role will report to an energetic and talented FC who has a passion for developing her team.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will be broad and will involve exposure across the finance function. Working closely with the CFO and FC, you will be given excellent learning opportunities and your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Ensuring all accountabilities are completed in an accurate and timely manner in line with the month-end timetable

Month-end and year-end reconciliations and accruals

Preparing the P&L in Excel

Revenue reconciliations

Overseeing an AP Officer

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role, you will meet the majority of the following criteria:

Open to considering First Time Movers from Audit or Business Services

Otherwise, have worked in a broad Financial Accountant role that encompassed month-end ownership

Studying toward, or have gained your professional qualification (e.g. CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent)

Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to be hands-on with some of the more basic tasks, as well as having the ability to take on and learn the more complex responsibilities

Exposure to hotels/property industry is desirable, however is not a prerequisite.
