Your Role
We're seeking a proactive and organised Paralegal and Legal Administration Officer to join our small and collaborative team. This is a diverse role where you'll be trusted to manage a mix of legal admin, paralegal tasks and complaints handling. You'll report directly to the General Counsel and work alongside two Senior Legal Officers, supporting a diverse range of services and stakeholders across the Society.

Your Responsibility
Supporting the legal team with contract preparation, document review and legal research
Assisting with subpoenas, litigation support and claims management
Drafting simple agreements using templates and supporting contract execution
Providing administrative support including document filing, registers and reporting
Supporting the Privacy Officer with audits and privacy matters
Liaising with internal teams and external counsel
Contributing to complaint triage and resolution (initial 3-month focus), including coordinating investigations
Helping to ensure smooth operations, clear communication and compliance across the function
Profile description:
You Will Need
Tertiary qualifications in law or legal studies (or near completion)
Experience as a paralegal or in legal admin
Strong time management and ability to juggle priorities across multiple matters
Professional, confident communication and great attention to detail
Familiarity with legal concepts, privacy principles and complaints resolution
A collaborative and flexible mindset
