Job description:

This is a highly physical, outdoor-based role requiring the completion of repetitive tasks. Responsibilities include a range of daily tractor operations such as: filling sheep feeders with chaser bin; feeding ewes fodder in containment pens; plough land and sow; fertilise and cultivate pastures; and maintaining feed levels in feedlot. Operation of other agricultural machinery such as augers and the completion of general farm tasks will be required. The successful candidate to work independently or as part of a team. Weekend work may be required, and a minimum of a years experience in a similar role necessary.

Basic requirements:

· Must be physically fit and capable of performing repetitive, labour-intensive work.

· Strong knowledge and experience in the operation of tractors for pasture and sheep production environment.

· Preparing and positioning plant for operation.

· Able to keep production and work records and writing work reports such as chemical use records.

· Complying with biosecurity procedures and disease prevention methods.

· Knowledge and ability to perform other general farm work. Such as feeding, fencing, moving stock and cleaning out feeders/troughs.

· Must be able to work independently without supervision for extended periods.

· Full manual drivers licence.

· Time management skills.

· AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)

· Exhibit a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
