Il Solito Posto is an iconic, well-established, busy Italian Restaurant in Melbourne's CBD and we are recruiting for a Front of House- Maitre D' .

Are you a polished, people-focused professional with a passion for hospitality? We’re looking for a Maitre D’ to be the welcoming face and operational heart of our dining experience in the Trattoria section of our establishment.

As Maitre D’, you will:

Greet and seat guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality

Manage reservations and the flow of service to ensure an exceptional guest experience

Coordinate with front and back-of-house teams for smooth daily operations

Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with care

Uphold our quite unique service standards that have served us well for over 30 years

What we’re looking for

The position is available for applicants with a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar fast paced environment

The applicant must be available to work evenings (min 4/max 5) & Saturdays. For the right person, we can set a Mon-Fri option. No super late nights. Most nights finished prior to midnight

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Calm under pressure. This place can be quite chaotic but usually in a fun way

Good problem solver
