GIFTA Benefits is a fast-growing Australian start-up working with over 500+ corporates and associations across Australia and New Zealand to help them improve employee, customer, and member engagement, retention, and acquisition through innovative, white-labelled rewards and benefits solutions.
With our further growth in Australia, we’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Melbourne team and support our next phase of scale.
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant at GIFTA, you will play an important role in supporting our sales operations and client engagement activities. This position involves managing both inbound and outbound sales enquiries, preparing sales and marketing materials, and contributing to business development efforts.
You will work closely with our Business Development and Partnerships teams to help ensure a smooth and professional experience for our clients and prospects, while also supporting internal processes and sales performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to new enquiries and assist in qualifying and converting leads
Assist in outreach to prospective clients through email, phone, and digital campaigns
Support communication with existing clients, ensuring queries are handled professionally and efficiently
Join the team in attending events, expos, and meetings to represent the brand and strengthen client relationships at times with the team, as well as independently.
Assist in preparing visually appealing proposals, sales materials, and EDMs (using Canva or similar tools)
Help design and execute campaigns that align with client objectives and GIFTA’s strategic goals
Maintain and update records, tracking leads, follow-ups, and key client information
Contribute to reporting and sales performance tracking across multiple campaigns
Collaborate with the wider team to ideate and refine new sales strategies and engagement initiatives

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mindset
High level of English proficiency, both spoken and written
Confidence in engaging with both prospects and existing clients via phone, email, and in-person
Good eye for design and ability to use Canva or similar tools to prepare visual content
A highly organised and self-motivated individual who can manage tasks independently
Comfortable in a start-up environment with a willingness to adapt and take initiative
Enthusiasm for working in a tech-forward business solving real-world engagement challenges
