Site Foreman – Mid Tier Commercial and Industrial Building Contractor

Carpentry Background with 3-10 years+ Site Foreman / Supervisory experience desired

Initial Project & Role: Structures Foreman on a $35M new build industrial / retail project project located in Ipswich, Brisbane

Future projects throughout Greater Brisbane. Current project portfolio includes shopping centre extension and new-builds, industrial and warehouse distribution new-builds, supermarket refurbs and more (projects from $3M - $40M)

$140,000 - $170,000 + Super on Offer (D.O.E)

Immediate need for a Structures Site Foreman to join an excellent established, highly reputable Australian Mid-Tier commercial, retail and industrial building contractor. Initially, you will work as a Structures Foreman on a $35M new build industrial retail construction project in Ipswich. Following this you’ll work on another project in Greater Brisbane in the mid-tier construction space, likely a shopping centre refurb, a new-build distribution centre, a new build supermarket projects and more, valued between $15M - $50M. You will also be given the opportunity to runa smaller projects as a number 1 site manager.

The Position – Site Foreman.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery team of this retail /industrial project alongside the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator (x2) Leading Hand, Safety Advisor and Cadet. Your key focus will be the structures elements of this D&C projects.

Conduct site inductions

Interpret and work off plans

Supervise apprentices and labourers while delegating tasks

Management of sub-contractors and trades on the structures aspect of the project. Concrete, formwork, struyctural steel steel fixing are key elements.

Read and work off construction plans

Ensure works are undertaken safely – Recognise and rectify safety issues

Use initiative to keep job running smoothly.

To be suitable for the role it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

A carpentry trade background or formwork carpentry trade is ideal

Will have built up some strong supervisory skills as a Site Foreman with established and recognised Australian commercial building contractors.

Must have worked in structures foreman capacity previously.

New build industrial, supermarket and commercial construction project experience is hugely beneficial

Will have ideally worked for reputable commercial contractors with established systems, processes and software in place

Must have worked on commercial, retail and industrial building projects from $10M-$50M in a structures Foreman role.

Possess a ‘can-do’ positive attitude and be a positive member of the site team

Career focused and a desire to progress through to Site Foreman.

Must be Brisbane based – the first project is located in Ipswich, with further projects dotted throughout Greater Brisbane following this.
