A bit about the role
We’re on the lookout for a passionate Youth Program Engagement Officer to lead our FutureGen Pathway Program across Manor Lakes and Kurunjang Secondary Colleges and activate high-impact youth engagement workshops across our vibrant Western Melbourne hubs (Werribee, Melton, Sunshine, St Albans & Hoppers Crossing).
This isn’t just another youth worker role it’s your chance to shape real pathways for young people, helping them build confidence, leadership, and employability skills to thrive in their post-school journey.
What you'll be doing:
- Facilitating employability and leadership workshops in schools and hubs
- Supporting young people’s cultural identity, self-belief, and future goals
- Coordinating guest speakers, industry tours, and exposure to real-world careers
- Tracking program outcomes and supporting transitions into work, training, or further education
- Championing inclusive and engaging group activities across our youth hubs
Let’s talk about you
✨ Bring experience in youth engagement, facilitation, or education
✨ Easily connect with young people from all backgrounds and lived experiences
✨ Thrive on planning, organising, and delivering impactful programs
✨ Are driven by a passion for youth development, inclusion, and social change
✨ Have worked in school settings and/or with CALD and First Nations communities
✨ Understand employment pathways and programs like Transition to Work (TtW)
✨ Hold qualifications or experience in youth work, education, or community development
A bit about us
We are an independent charity dedicated to supporting young people and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Offering frontline support to young people and those experiencing homelessness. Our approach focuses on respect, client-centred care, and harm prevention, helping individuals achieve better health, meaningful employment, and a sense of safety and belonging.
In the past year, over 8,000 people accessed our services, 80% of youth supported found sustainable employment or education, and we sold 150,000+ coffees, reinvesting profits into services. With a focus on inclusivity, 88% of our 2024 workforce have lived or living experience.
