We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at The Food Republic in Blackburn, Victoria. As a full-time Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in the delivery of exquisite dining experiences for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and contribute to the ongoing success of our award-winning restaurant.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes across various sections of the kitchen
Maintaining consistently high standards of food presentation and flavour
Assisting the Head Chef with menu development and implementation
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
Ensuring a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment
Providing guidance and training to commis chefs and kitchen assistants
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
What we're looking for
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a fast-paced, fine dining or high-volume kitchen
Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving abilities
A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic kitchen environment
Relevant culinary qualifications or a demonstrated track record of success in the hospitality industry
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
