ABOUT THE ROLE

ASSEMBLY 197 (home to TASDANCE and SITUATE) seeks an experienced part-time Executive Producer to oversee and support our organisation's artistic vision and strategic development. Working closely and collaboratively with the Executive Directors, the Executive Producer provides vital leadership in operations, governance, compliance, and resourcing that support ASSEMBLY 197’s artistic and strategic ambitions. Based in our Launceston studios, this pivotal role will play a key part in the continued growth and success of ASSEMBLY 197.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Drive organisational systems and operations. Lead the development and implementation of systems that ensure clear workflows, compliance, and smooth cross-departmental operations.

Produce and deliver complex projects. Manage the delivery of multifaceted projects, working closely with artists, curators, and production teams to ensure excellence.

Lead grant writing and income development. Identify funding opportunities, write and coordinate grant applications, and oversee reporting and compliance.

Support governance and compliance. Prepare Board documentation, maintain governance processes, and ensure organisational compliance with legal and policy requirements.

Manage contracts and legal obligations. Oversee contracts, IP, insurance, and legal frameworks, ensuring all activity meets best practice standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - SELECTION CRITERIA

Extensive experience in arts management and producing, with a proven track record of success.

Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate artistic vision into practical outcomes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.

Strong financial management and budgeting expertise, with the capacity to oversee complex projects and operations.

A deep understanding of the performing arts industry.
