Project Integration Lead – High-Growth, PE-Backed Business �� Newcastle or Sydney Based | $160k + Super | 12-Month Contract with Growth Potential

We’re looking for a hands-on Project Integration Lead to help drive the integration of newly acquired sites for a fast-growing, PE-backed business in the education sector. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of business transformation, with the potential to shape integration processes for future acquisitions as the group continues to expand nationally.

The Opportunity:
With Private Equity backing, this business is rapidly scaling. They are in the process of acquiring another business and have others in the pipeline. This role will be instrumental in delivering seamless integration across systems, technology, and processes — ensuring acquired businesses are successfully onboarded without disrupting day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
✔️ Lead end-to-end integration projects across Finance, HR, Technology, and Operations
✔️ Oversee technology transitions – migrating off legacy acquiree systems and implementing fit-for-purpose tools (e.g., Xero, CRM, Invoicing, Expense Solutions)
✔️ Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and external teams to align integration plans
✔️ Work closely with the CFO, HR Lead, and broader leadership team
✔️ Plan and sequence multiple systems integrations concurrently
✔️ Challenge the status quo – assess existing processes and suggest smarter, scalable ways of working
✔️ Partner with key personnel from acquired businesses to build trust and ensure cultural alignment
✔️ Travel to sites as needed – you will be expected to travel up to Newcastle on a regular basis as well as the acquiree sites from time to time
About You:
✅ Proven track record leading integration projects (M&A, Tech, or Systems-focused)
✅ Comfortable navigating tech platforms — especially system transitions and technology integration
✅ Strong project management skills – you can coordinate multiple streams and "get it done" without friction
✅ Gravitas and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
✅ Solution-oriented – you're not afraid to ask "Why?" and suggest better ways forward
✅ Ability to build relationships with new teams quickly, fostering trust and alignment
Bonus Points for:
�� Experience integrating businesses with limited internal infrastructure
�� Background in technology, operations, or finance integrations
�� Familiarity with Xero, Employment Hero, DoneSafe, Qualtrics, or similar platforms
The Details:
�� $160k base + super (some flexibility for the right candidate)
�� Based in Newcastle or Sydney – (Sydney is 100% fine as long as you're willing to travel up to Newcastle on a regular basis
�� Initial period may require more frequent travel to the Newcastle area
�� 12-month contract with strong potential for permanency as the group continues acquisitions
