The Role & Business

The Contractor has extensive construction experience across all major building spheres outside residential and typically over service existing Clients and develop repeat business through the quality of their work. This strategy generates lucrative profit margins and enjoyable projects to be part of. They win their work through negotiated tender as opposed to open tender and can look back upon Client relationships lasting more than a generation. They have an inclusive attitude towards employment and expect their staff to treat others with common manners and respect. They know who they are, feel their reputation attracts people to work for the business for the long term and are not looking to reinvent the wheel, rather evolve the business continually to ensure they stay ahead of current market trends.

Qualifications & Experience

You will ideally come from a trade background

Proven history as a structures specialist with an ambition to be part of a management team

You will have experience in commercial / Institutional new build projects $10M+ at minimum

Ability to create short term construction programmes

Read and interpret Construction Drawings at a detailed level

Client facing Role - Excellent communication skills are key

You will be able to demonstrate strong longevity of employment with recognised building companies in Sydney

You will have strong people management skills, solid client relationship attributes and a professional and calm demeanour

You will be able to produce strong references from key stakeholders including Clients & Employers
