About the Role

As a Guest Service Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for our valued guests and play a vital role in shaping the overall experience at Burnett Riverside Hotel. The Guest Services team is the face of the business and the friendly welcome for all guests, overseeing all aspects of service and comfort across hotel, restaurant, and conference operations.

This casual role is ideal for someone with a confident, warm personality and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Success in this position requires exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the composure to handle a variety of guest requests in a fast-paced, professional setting.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

Greet all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner

Handle guest check-ins and check-outs using our hotel system (RMS)

Respond to enquiries by phone, email, or in person with confidence and accuracy

Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest accounts

Guest Experience & Service Delivery

Provide local knowledge and recommendations to guests

Handle complaints or feedback professionally and escalate where needed

Assist with room service orders, breakfast setups, or basic housekeeping duties if required

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and a polished, guest-first approach

Operational Support

Work as part of a flexible and responsive team committed to creating a positive guest experience

Set up function spaces or restock supplies as directed by senior team members

Key Skills & Attributes

Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and professional

Ability to work calmly under pressure and handle multiple tasks
