The Role

You’ll take the lead on all day-to-day operations across the established orchard, while contributing to the next stage of development. This is a practical leadership role where you’ll be in the thick of it - guiding your team, managing the crop, balancing budgets, and making data-backed decisions to lift performance.

You won’t be on your own. You’ll work closely with the Regional Manager and tap into the wider corporate team for support. But you’ll have the autonomy to run the orchard your way and the responsibility to make smart, timely decisions.

The development of the second 210ha orchard is just getting started, so this role comes with room to step up, grow, and be part of something that’s evolving. It’s hands-on, commercially focused, and perfect for someone who’s ready to take ownership and back themselves.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Orchard Operations: Oversee all daily activities, including crop management, irrigation, and orchard maintenance.
• Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and lead a capable farm team, supporting their growth and accountability.
• Financial and Business Management: Manage budgets and resources in line with the annual business plan.
• WHS and Sustainability: Uphold high safety, environmental, and sustainability standards across the orchard.
• Tech-Driven Farming: Use platforms like Phytec, AgWorld, and InformAg to guide agronomic and operational decisions.
• Support Orchard Expansion: Gain exposure to an additional ~200ha development.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a results-driven orchard manager who brings both commercial focus and practical, hands-on leadership. You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience managing orchards or large-scale horticultural operations - macadamia experience is preferred
• Strong leadership capability with a focus on mentoring and team development.
• Sound commercial skills, including budget management and reporting.
• Practical knowledge of irrigation systems and orchard agronomy.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong organisational skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in agriculture or horticulture (preferred).

Note: Candidates with relevant experience in macadamias and ready to step up into a Farm / Orchard Manager role are encouraged to apply.
