A Bit About the Role
In this office-based role, you’ll be creating detailed 3D and 2D designs for our custom electrical switchboard cabinets, working closely with our Engineering and Fabrication teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and quality standards. You’ll collaborate with the Project Delivery Manager and other stakeholders to bring engineered projects to life.

What You’ll Be Doing
Producing accurate mechanical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (Solidworks)
Collaborating with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and meet project requirements
Reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback and project changes
Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulations
Proactively identifying and resolving fabrication design challenges
Assisting with ongoing development of automation and standardised workflows
What We’re Looking For
A great candidate for this role will have:
Proven experience in mechanical drafting, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, Inventor, or similar)
Strong technical and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Great computer skills and ability to learn and navigate IT systems
A collaborative teamwork mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
A mechanical drafting or engineering qualification (a bonus, but not a must)
