Your Impact:
As a full time Talent and Diversity Partner, you will play a key role in:
- Establish Good Sammy as the strategic employer of choice to educate, inspire and support people of all abilities in a disability inclusive, aware and accessible workplace and deliver real employment opportunities for people with disability.
- You will be responsible for the end-to-end talent acquisition lifecycle.
- Be involved in working with our broader People Division to roll-out strategic initiatives and projects on talent and diversity.
What you'll do:
Supported Employment
- Initial engagement with people with disability and their families to connect them with employment opportunities with Good Sammy that align with their employment goals.
- Undertake compliance checks associated with on-boarding Supported employees, including NDIS funding.
- Conduct tours of the workplace with prospective employees with disability to identify employment opportunities that match the employment goals of the person.
- Actively engage, network and collaborate within the community to build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all participants have an employment pathway planned or have been successfully transitioned to other stakeholders based on their individualised need.
- Work closely with the Service Delivery team to ensure Employment Goals (including job types and desired sectors) of all staff with disability are documented and reviewed.
- Work closely with the Employment Engagement Partner and Service Delivery team to ensure that every staff member with disability who has an Open Employment Goal has access to and receives the necessary job ready training in line with their employment goal.
Talent Acquisition
- Develop programs and initiatives to support the attraction and retention of an engaged and capable people through tailored recruitment strategies and articulating a competitive Employee Value Proportion.
- Partner with external agencies including Disability Empowerment Services to source talent.
- Coach managers on best practice approaches and talent management strategies.
- Represent Good Sammy in meetings, Expos, conferences, and events, which may include delivering presentations and public speaking to showcase Good Sammy as the employer of choice.
- Deliver monthly reporting to the Executive Committee on Community Engagement and Recruitment data, including new intake activity.
- Facilitating monthly Workforce Planning meetings and partnering with Managers to proactively develop strategies to meet staffing needs (Supported and Award) as well as planning for open positions.
Diversity
- Stay informed about current and emerging trends, research, and best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion and serve as a subject matter expert whilst proactively identifying opportunities to enhance organisational efforts.
- Partner with relevant teams to promote inclusive recruitment, hiring and promotion practices that attract and retain diverse talent at all levels of the organisation.
- Strategically plan and execute significant diversity, equity and inclusion events aimed at raising organisational awareness.
- Organise regular forums and surveys for regular consultation with staff on diversity and equity issues.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and over 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Diploma or above in a related field with knowledge of relevant laws and regulation related to diversity and inclusion.
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies and activities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align strategies with organisational goals and drive measurable outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in designing, developing, and implementing recruitment initiatives to support organisations strategic plans.
- Extensive knowledge and application of the NDIS and NDIS guidelines or experience in working in a strict compliance network.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and implementing solutions with participants and staff alike.
- You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build strong working relationships and manage complex dynamics to make a difference for our participants.
- Self-motivated, people and performance focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Strong project management, administration and financial skills and IT competencies, including in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds who may face barriers to employment.
