About the Role
Join AIBI Higher Education as a Senior Academic Leader. This pivotal position involves delivering high-quality education and managing academic operations at our Brisbane campus. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for students in our Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security) program, as well as our undergraduate and postgraduate Business and IT degrees.
Responsibilities
Learning Design: Develop, implement, and evaluate engaging curriculum and learning materials for various subjects, focusing on Cyber Security and related fields.
Online Program Development: Lead the design and enhancement of online courses, ensuring they align with industry standards and best practices.
Teaching: Deliver dynamic lectures and seminars for a wide range of subjects within the Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security) program, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
Student Support: Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, aiding their personal and professional growth.
Academic Administration: Handle administrative responsibilities, including academic compliance, student academic support, and assessment processes.
Committee Involvement: Serve as a secretary for academic committees when required, ensuring smooth operation and documentation of meetings.
Quality Improvement: Collaborate with faculty and staff to continuously refine and improve course offerings and academic programs.
Strategic Contributions: Actively participate in strategic planning meetings, contributing to the overall direction and mission of AIBI Higher Education.
Professional Development: Stay abreast of trends in education and technology, pursuing continuous learning opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in tertiary education, with a proven record of effective teaching and student engagement.
Education: PhD in a relevant field (Business, IT, Cyber Security), with industry experience being advantageous.
Expertise: Strong background in Cyber Security, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learners.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in educational technology and learning management systems.
Attributes: Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a passion for student success and professional development.
