About the opportunity
Are you passionate about applying your knowledge of vegetable cropping systems on sandy soils including plant nutrition, irrigation and soil science? Do you want to play a vital role working with the Vegetable Team to develop innovative growing practices to assist growers increase profitability and sustainability?
We are seeking one dedicated and enthusiastic Research Scientist to join our Vegetable Team in a permanent role based in Perth. This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to work alongside experts in the field, collaborate with local growers, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support horticultural practices.
We are looking for individuals with:
A Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science, Science or an approved equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in scientific research and knowledge of agri-food industry sustainable production systems, particularly with vegetable crops.
Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to consult, advise and convey information to stakeholders in order to achieve strategic outcomes.
Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to provide practical solutions to challenging issues and problems.
