We’re partnering with a values driven Not For Profit organisation that’s creating lasting impact in communities across Australia. They’re on the lookout for a detail-savvy, proactive Paralegal to join their lean but powerful team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, part-time (3 days per week - your choice of days).
In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with a highly regarded Legal Director, supporting legal, compliance, and governance functions across the business. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and purpose in your work, this is one to explore.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the Legal Director with contract management, legal admin, and research;
- Manage the legal inbox and coordinate contract reviews and execution;
- Assist with board and committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups;
- Coordinate regulatory reporting and compliance obligations;
- Help maintain risk registers and support insurance renewals and reporting; and
- Contribute to developing and embedding compliance frameworks and policies.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a compliance/legal operations role;
- Understanding of contract management and relevant regulatory frameworks;
- Strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail;
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and ideally tools like SharePoint or Diligent; and
- A collaborative approach and genuine interest in making a positive social impact.
A Certificate or Diploma in Legal Services (or similar) would be highly regarded, along with any experience in the not-for-profit or financial services sector.
