About the role
This newly created HR Lead (Workday) position will champion the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of Urban Utilities’ Workday HCM system. Reporting to the People Services Operations Lead, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders across People & Capability, IT, and external vendors to design, develop, test and maintain system solutions that drive efficiency, automation and a great employee experience. You’ll be the trusted Workday subject matter expert and a key player in Urban Utilities’ commitment to digital and people-focused transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with business users to gather and analyse complex HR system requirements and translate these into effective Workday solutions
• Leading the configuration, testing and release of system updates, enhancements and new modules within Workday HCM
• Managing relationships with Workday and other system vendors to ensure quality support and continuous improvement
• Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate processes, supporting end-to-end process mapping and redesign where needed
• Providing specialist advice, training and support to HR team members and system users to ensure effective system adoption and best practice use
