About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Chef (Childcare) to join our team at Noarlunga Community Children's Centres' in Morphett Vale, SA. As a casual role, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise to providing healthy and nutritious meals for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for children of all ages

Ensuring all food preparation and storage adheres to strict health and safety standards

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Collaborating with the childcare team to understand dietary requirements and preferences

Monitoring stock levels

Participating in menu planning to provide a varied and balanced diet

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef, preferably in a childcare or similar catering setting

Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and hygienic food preparation practices

Excellent time management and organisational skills to meet the demands of a busy childcare kitchen

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality meals

Enthusiastic and creative approach to developing nutritious and appealing menus for children

Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification
