About the role:

Lumia Care company, is seeking for an experienced compassion community worker in Balwyn North & Croydon.

Role responsibilities:

Experienced support worker with high care skills in domestic assistance, meal preparation suppository management, PEG tube water and bolus feed, complex Bowl care wheelchair, hoist transfer, manual handling and condom catheter care

Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.

Competent in supporting clients with physiotherapy exercises

Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.

Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning and most importantly,
companionship.

Providing support while interacting with the client’s service dog to ensure optimal care

What we are looking for:

A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.

Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent

Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.

Experience in either aged care disability or community.

Experience with high care and dementia clients MND or ASD is highly desirable.

A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST.

Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.

Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
