Femur Connect is a community-based organisation who provides support to participants who are requiring support in their home or in the community. Our disability support workers are responsible for providing a high-quality service and implementing a range of program plans which are in line with both individual participant and group goals. They will demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional active support to the participants. Our support workers will develop and maintain relationships with families, carers and other relevant organisations. They will also be able to accurately record daily and weekly records of individual goal development in a timely manner. This role in particular is seeking an individual who will be a 1:1 support for participants. As we pride ourselves in our values and vision and we are looking for someone who will uphold the same standard.
Our company has various shifts available in the morning, daytime, afternoon, evening & weekends.
Duties typically include supporting the client at home and out in the community with social support, light meal preparation, grocery shopping, domestic duties, personal care, travel training, assisting participants to group activities, support attending appointments and more.
Our clients are located in Melbourne's Western Suburbs, Inner Northern Suburbs and Inner-City Suburbs. To be considered for this role, you must be able to travel to Suburbs within these areas, such as Werribee, Footscray, Caroline Springs, North Melbourne and Glenroy
Please note, only qualified people with qualifications greater than Certificate 3 In Individual Support will be considered. No applications will be accepted unless you have displayed consistence and experience in the sector.

$41.50 PH - $87.90 PH depending on shifts.
We are looking for staff who
Have a minimum two years’ experience in community disability support work.
Have a minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Individual Support, or greater. Studying a higher degree with industry experience will also be considered.
Australian Full Drivers License
Have your NDIS Clearance and NDIS Worker Training modules completed
Hold a valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
Hold a valid Working with Children Check
Have your own car with comprehensive car insurance
Live in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
Have experience with participants who have Autism, Intellectual Disability and Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health (highly regarded)
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Experience communicating with families and record keeping.
