About the role

Newlet Constructions Pty Ltd (Hotondo Homes Dubbo) is looking for an experienced Supervisor Carpenter to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects and ensuring they are completed to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of carpenters and other trade workers
• Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to address any issues or concerns
• Monitor the progress of projects and provide regular updates to management
• Identify and implement opportunities for improving efficiency and quality
• Assist with the planning and scheduling of work activities
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior members of the team

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Supervisor Carpenter or equivalent role in the construction industry
• Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques, building codes, and construction best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to read and interpret architecual/engineering plans, and specifications
• Proficient in the use of power tools and construction equipment
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g. Carpentry Apprenticeship, Building and Construction Certificate)\
