The Company:

Australian-owned business based in the Western Slopes of NSW.

As they continue to expand, they're looking for a sharp, motivated Finance Manager / Financial Accountant looking to make a commercial impact.

This is a unique opportunity for an up-and-coming finance professional to take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and gain exposure to business-critical decisions within a unique Construction / Engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate financial reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end, reporting, and audit prep.
• Deliver accurate, timely monthly and annual financial statements.
• Handle tax compliance, BAS, GL postings, and reconciliations.
• Maintain and improve the Fixed Asset Register.
• Work closely with group finance to analyse business performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Participate in continuous system and process improvement projects.

You:

• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards it.
• 5 years + of hands-on experience in financial accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial CRM / ERP / MRP systems.
• Curious, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Willing to take ownership, solve problems, and grow professionally.
• Ability to work independently but collaborate across teams when needed.
