Healthy Connections is an allied health clinic located in Chermside. We deliver multidisciplinary best practice allied health services both clinic-based and within client’s homes in the North Brisbane community, and offer services including exercise physiology, physiotherapy, and remedial massage.
About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Exercise Physiotherapist to join our allied health team. The position is initially offered on a part-time basis with view to full-time if desired and as patient load increases. The role itself is hybrid with both community and clinic based appointments. The working days are negotiable between Monday-Friday with services delivered between the hours of 7am-5pm, tailored around the practitioner's preferences.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality exercise physiology services within client’s homes and in the clinic.
- Use your developed clinical skills and knowledge to provide client-centered services addressing the client’s exercise goals.
- Perform Initial health assessments and implement exercise programs ; reformer Pilates experience desirable.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Remedial Massage Therapists.
- Join a supportive team of dedicated health professionals.
- Contribute to the development of in-clinic services.
- Opportunities and flexibility to develop services in practice areas of interest or expertise.
- Work within a variety of funding models including My Aged Care, Home Care Packages, DVA, Medicare, Private, and NDIS.
Skills & Experience
- New graduates please apply, salary range dependent on experience
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, current ESSA registration, and current professional indemnity insurance.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in private practice, rehabilitation and/or community settings (desirable but not necessary)
- Experience in NDIS clinical service delivery (highly desirable).
- Empathetic, patient, and friendly demeanour with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of clients, families, and stakeholders.
- Hold a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or are willing to obtain).
- Reliable motor vehicle (including registration and insurance)
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel across Brisbane's Northern suburbs

About Burnie Brae
The Burnie Brae Centre is a Not-for-Profit Incorporated Organisation which opened in Chermside in March, 1984.
The Centre offers a wide range of social, educational and recreational activities to over 50’s with two membership options currently set at $5.00 and $20.00 per year plus a $5.00 Joining Fee. Additionally, the organisation auspices a range of government funded community services for seniors, frail aged persons and younger people with disabilities managed by a team of dedicated professionals striving to provide the highest possible standard of service to clients and their families.
Office Hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday each week and the Centre is also open at other times for activities and functions.
