The Exercise Physiologist role at Avive focuses on delivering tailored movement programs to support client health and recovery. Roles and Responsibilities include:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct thorough individual assessments, taking into account specific physiological and psychological needs of the patient to identify individualised exercise needs within the context of their mental health treatment plan.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive patient information.
Review patient medical histories, medications, and treatment plans to ensure exercise safety.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop personalised exercise plans that align with patients' mental health treatment goals.
Lead exercise and physical activity sessions, including group and individual assessments.
Monitor and adjust exercise plans based on patients' progress and changing needs.
Educate patients about the benefits of exercise on mental health and overall well-being through facilitation of the EEM Program.
Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and take immediate action in case of any medical concerns.
Maintain up to date records of patient’s details and progress.
Ability to work collaboratively with patients, carers, and other team members.
Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions applicable to the field of mental health
Undertake administrative duties associated with the delivery of the exercise physiology program.
