Factory 51 Wedding and Events Venue is seeking a passionate and experienced Functions Supervisor to lead our team.

We are an event venue hosting a wide range of private functions – from corporate meetings to weddings and everything in between. You will work closely with our Functions Coordinator, the head chef and the owner to deliver our high standard of service and maintain our friendly and warm atmosphere.

Key responsibilities:

Provide warm, friendly and professional service to guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Interpret and execute events based on provided run sheets & floor plans.

Work closely with chefs, staff, & clients throughout the event to ensure smooth service.

Lead food service - communicating closely with head chefs & event staff.

Address guest needs & maintain a focus on guests satisfaction.

Ensure staff uphold high levels of service.

Direct room turn overs & set-up according to event floor plans & styling notes.

Payment processing & end of day reconciliation.

Opening & closing responsibilities.

About You:

Prior experience in hospitality or events required, supervisory or team leader role preferred.

The confidence to problem solve and make sound decisions under pressure.

Friendly & approachable attitude with ability to create a welcoming environment.

Strong interpersonal & communication skills.

RSA required.

Must be available on weekends - rotating weekly roster Tuesday - Sunday.
